MY STORY
HOW IT STARTED, THE NAME & BRAND ETHOS.
it all started in the summer of 2019 stemming from my love for burning candles and creating different environments in my home, according to my mood or the mood i would like to set. i am very keen on playing my part in reducing waste and also prefer to use and consume toxin free/natural products in my home and on/in my body. after suffering with headaches, eliminating candles and various other items from diet + lifestyle, once i introduced the candles back into my environment, the headaches returned immediately.
i figured there were many alternatives to the artificially scented paraffin wax candle, that were free from additives and carcinogenic substances. i bought all the tools i thought i needed to create candles with very little knowledge other than what goes in to a candle and what i like them displayed in, the science part came naturally to me.
i was super impressed with my first batch considering my lack of schooling on candle making, however, the formula needed some slight tweaking. from my second batch on out i can honestly say i had mastered the art of what i would call a great candle. eco friendly, clean burning, minimal cling, strong cold & hot throw and nice smooth tops. my aim then was to create scented candles to suit all β from your sweet to woody, fresh, warming, herby or invigorating scent lover; made in small batches with love using only eco soy wax, essential or natural oil blends and a sustainably sourced organic cotton wick.
ππππ pronounced KRIB means home. the R in my logo reflects a keyhole, you hold the keys to access the best for you whether it is created or bought. and the numeral 1 reflects individuality, we are all different in many ways however we all have a body and regardless of itβs skin tone, shape, height, disability or ability it is our only permanent home β so why not protect it by any means.
i am heavy on giving back, so together; making these small changes in the type of products we buy and use, we can help to protect ourselves, the next generation, nature and the planets future! β₯
